Los Angeles was told to plan for a rainy and cold Sunday- it ended up being sunny and 65. The winters are tough in Southern California. I met a fellow blogging friend today for breakfast and a walk to the farmer’s market in Atwater Village. It turns out Atwater Village is the place to be if you are a coffee connoisseur as there are many coffee shops to pick from. Cafecito Organico is a LA based roaster that has pop-up shops at a few farmer’s markets around the city. They also have two brick and mortar locations. Today I visited their cafe on the edge of Silverlake as I was looking for a place to read the newspaper and catch up on a few old issues of Los Angeles magazine, though I spent lot of my time on the phone teaching my mother how to delete files on her computer. They have a quiet patio and chairs next to tree stumps if you are looking for a spot in the sun. The coffee was good and the space conducive to a relaxing afternoon. Paired with unlimited street parking, it was a good decision. Enjoy.
